The purpose and legal basis for the processing of your personal data

At Nordic Apparel ApS, we process your information for different purposes and with different legal authorities, depending on your affiliation and use of our services.


Purchase of goods in our webshop

If you are a customer or contact us via our webshop, we collect the following general personal information about you: name, address, postcode, city, country, mobile number, and e-mail address.

In addition, the payment gateway provider collects payment card information when making purchases with a credit card.

The legal basis for the processing is the EU Data Protection Regulation art. 6 pieces. 1, letter b (performance of a contract) and 6, subsection 1, consent, as far as marketing and offers and gifts are concerned. The consent can be withdrawn at any time.

“In order to offer you Klarna’s payment methods, we might in the checkout pass your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment methods and to tailor those payment methods for you. Are you subscribing to our newsletter? We collect personal information in order to send newsletters, send you invitations or provide other information.

Processing for statistical purposes

Our legitimate interest in optimizing the webshop, the product range, the offers and digital platforms and services takes precedence over consideration of the data subject's privacy and freedoms, as it must be considered a reasonable expectation of our customers that we undertake such a statistical treatment.


Storage of your personal data

We only store your personal data for the time it is necessary for the stated purposes.

We will then automatically delete your personal data.

However, in certain cases, we are obliged to store the information for a longer period of time, which will be apparent from the legislation, for example the Accounting Act(bogføringsloven).

We may also have the right to store information for a longer period based on other legislation.


Recipients or categories of recipients

In connection with the operation of the webshop or for the processing of information for marketing purposes, we may pass on your information to business partners and suppliers.

In certain situations, we are obliged to delete your personal data if you ask us to do so. These could, for instance be data which are no longer necessary for the purpose we used them for. Automatic decision-making

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to object to processing based solely on automated decision-making (which includes profiling), when that decision-making has a legal effect on you or otherwise significantly affects you.

We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.

Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

  • Temporary blacklist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This blacklist persists for a small number of hours.
  • Temporary blacklist of credit cards associated with blacklisted IP addresses. This blacklist persists for a small number of days.


Transfer to recipients in third countries, including international organizations

With data processors in countries established outside the EU/EEA, where the Commission has not made a decision on the adequacy of the level of protection, we have entered into special agreements to ensure that the level of protection for the processing of personal information meets the same requirements as any other of our business partners and suppliers who process personal data for us within the EU must comply to. Your rights


Right to withdraw consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent to us at any time.

If you choose to withdraw your consent, it does not affect the legality of our processing of your personal data based on your previously communicated consent up to the time of the withdrawal. If you withdraw your consent, it therefore only takes effect from this point.
